Digital Camera Bag
A digital camera bag is probably the first accessory you should buy for your digital camera. Whether you have the latest digital SLR or a digital compact camera, a camera bag will protect it properly giving you years of trouble-free service and keeping it safe from bumps, knocks and the occasional spilt beverage!
Camera bags come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, from small pouches designed to fit a pocket camera, up to suitcase sized trravel cases for professional photographers and all their gear. As mentioned there are basically two main types of cases, those for digital compact cameras and those for larger digital SLR cameras and lenses.
Compact Digital Camera Cases
These can only hold a small single camera and are generally very cheap to purchase. They are made mainly of leather, nylon or foam cell materials.
Digital SLR Camera Bags
These are larger bags that can often double for camcorder cases, and offer storage for not just the camera body, but also accessories such as different length lenses, external flash units, extra batteries and grips and more.
They often have adjustable internal dividers so you can fit all your equipment snugly into the bag. The four main styles are backpack, rectangular bags and triangular bags.
